The management and team members of ATS Construction works daily to insure that a safe and healthy work environment is provided for our employees by implementing and enforcing safety and health standards, policies, and procedures. ATS Construction strives for an accident and injury free workplace and to minimize in all areas the risk for these to occur. Project Partner Safety

ATS CONSTRUCTION PARTNERS WITH THE KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET, PROJECT SUB CONTRACTORS, UTILITY COMPANIES, EMERGENCY PERSONNEL, AND ANY OTHER GROUPS, COMPANIES, OR PEOPLE WHO COMPLETE WORK ON ATS CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS TO MAKE THESE PROJECTS AS SAFE AS POSSIBLE.

Highway construction projects can potentially be dangerous and the work completed on the jobs can be dangerous if personnel are not taking proper safety precautions. This section of the web site and the additional login (top right of page), is designed to provide some general safety information and precautions to follow when on ATS Construction projects. This information does not depict all hazards or precautions that may be on a construction project nor does it supersede any State or Federal regulations.

Some potential General Hazards that may be on a project are, but not limited to:

■ TRAFFIC ENTERING WORK AREAS
■ LOCATION/OPERATION HAZARDS
■ TRENCH OPERATIONS, BRIDGE WORK AT HIGH ELEVATIONS,UNEVEN/ROCKY/UNSTABLE HAUL ROADS

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS, COMMON SENSE, AND PAYING ATTENTION, SHALL BE OBSERVED AND UTILIZED BY EVERYONE ON ATS CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS TO AVOID THE HAZARDS LISTED ABOVE. THE HAZARDS NOTED ABOVE DO NOT RELAY ALL POTENTIAL HAZARDS THAT MAY BE ON A CONSTRUCTION PROJECT. ANY PERSON WHO WORKS OR ENTERS AN ATS CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MUST BE TRAINED IN HAZARD AWARENESS, GENERAL SAFETY, AND THE SPECIFIC SAFETY HAZARDS RELATED TO THE WORK YOU DO. MOST COMPANIES HAVE GENERAL SAFETY TRAINING FOR EMPLOYEES AND SOME OFFER OSHA 10 AND 30 HOUR CLASSES THAT COVER THIS MATERIAL, PLEASE DISCUSS THIS WITH YOUR COMPANY TO DETERMINE IF THIS INFORMATION AND TRAINING IS AVAILABLE OR APPLICABLE.
