Road Construction
ATS Construction was founded and has excelled in Roadway Construction. What started as a small company with an asphalt plant in Hazard Kentucky, has grown into a company specializing in complex roadway construction and improvements. The ownership of the company participated in the initial construction of many sections of the interstate and parkway system in Kentucky during the 1960s and 1970s. Now that capacity has increased, ATS Construction is working to widen and improve the safety of the interstate system across central and southern Kentucky.
In and around Lexington Kentucky, ATS Construction has worked on and made improvements to New Circle Road, Leestown Road, Richmond Road, Versailles Road, Winchester Road, Georgetown Road, Harrodsburg Road, Todds Road, Citation Boulevard, Polo Blub Boulevard, Man O War Boulevard, Paris Pike, Newtown Pike, and Oliver Lewis Way. Many local projects for Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government has been done to improve their streets to add turn lanes as well as construct trail projects for bike and pedestrian traffic.
ATS Construction has worked across the state of Kentucky to construct or reconstruct roadways such as US150 in Rockcastle County, KY30 in Owsley County, KY61 and KY90 in Cumberland County, US25E in Knox-Laurel Counties, US127 in Clinton County, Elizabethtown to Radcliffe Connector in Hardin County, New Interchange on I-75 in Scott County, and Camp Ernst Road Interchange (KY237) in Boone County, just to name a few.
ATS Construction offers services to do small projects such as entrance or turning lane improvements to a development as more involved projects where Design, Environmental Permitting, Utility, Right-of-Way Acquisition, and Construction are required to accomplish the project. ATS Construction has the ability to provide the services you need to do any project involving roadway construction.
Grading
ATS Construction have the knowledge, methods and equipment required to perform projects of any size that involve excavation and embankment construction. With over 200 pieces of well-maintained equipment in the fleet, crews are tailored to fit the application of the size project you may have. This ranges from site projects such as development of commercial property such as Costso/Cabela’s building pads and parking lots; airport project such as the construction of the additional runway at Blue Grass Airport; road work such as widening of New Circle Road or reconstruction of KY30 in Owsley County; and residential subdivision in and around Central Kentucky. In house crews have the ability to do all types of mass hauling; do drilling and blasting of mass and trench rock; laying of sanitary or storm sewers; relocation of utilities; and preparation of sub grade and placement of sub base aggregate. Crew members are trained to operate equipment that is outfitted with the latest in GPS controls to provide accurate and efficient grading control.
